Medford man arrested for Turtle trading
A Medford man was arrested after a bad deal for taking part on the Turtle black market. Albert Roach apparently admitted that he broke federal law after receiving four North American wood turtles in 2008. As it turns out his supplier as an investigator with the Pennsylvania fish and boat commission. Because of a plea deal he is looking at 1 year probation and a total of $6,250 in fines, he also faces being banned from keeping and trading animals during his probation. Pennsylvania prohibits the possession of wild caught turtles. It is understandable that Mr Roach broke the law, there is no question about that but my question is should the state be using our tax dollars to entrap people when they are cutting so many public services? You decide.
